- Nigel Fletcher as scrum-half for the 1sts dummying the Wymondham opposition to score under  the posts on
   Church Field
- watching Bill Coutts sell a dummy to score a try in 1958
- scoring 80 on Orwell Side in a house match v Johnstons
- Peter Josselyn scoring 60 for Woolverstone Park on the main field one beautiful summer's day in 1959
- sitting alongside Derek Thornbery in the school orchestra being directed by Barry Salmon
- playing with The Feetwarmers in school concerts
- ditto at a Young Farmers' BBQ down on Lower Orwell Side
- listening to Merlin Channon playing the cornet in the old music room
- Physics with Fred Mudd, English with Patrick Hutton & Derek Thornbery & French with Stretch
- kissing the most beautiful girl (from IHS) who ever walked the planet
- doing with Patrick Hutton in 'A' Level English the Prologue from "The Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer

Ron Gould

- Gordon-Smith running to Corners in the middle of the night to listen to Don Cockell fight Rocky Marciano on our radio
- the Corners House production of "LCC WH" based on "HMS Pinafore" with me as Matron Buttercup - written by a team headed by McCulloch and Workman
- kicking a tennis ball in turn, every morning and evening, between Corners and school
- sneaking away on a Saturday afternoon to watch Ipswich v Walthamstow Avenue in the F.A. Cup
- managing to get an under age beer in Pin Mill at the long gone Riga pub
